James Mangohig (Kuya James)
“Kuya” James was nominated as a dynamic artist and music producer.
His journey began as a bass player in church and he has evolved into a prolific music producer. He has produced for notable artists and played a pivotal role in Darwin's nightlife with CLUB AWI. James co-created the acclaimed show "IN BETWEEN TWO," a captivating exploration of Asian identity in Australia.
Throughout his two-decade career, he has championed Asian/Australian stories and collaborated with Filipino artists, emphasizing cultural representation. Notably, he co-produced Emily Wurramara's record and unveiled his own projects in 2023, earning many accolades.
