Best Performance Award

This award seeks to celebrate an outstanding NT production recognised by its originality, quality of work on stage and behind the scenes, and its audience reception.

The outstanding production can be from any genre of performing arts, including dance, music, theatre, musical theatre, opera, circus, physical theatre and comedy.

Eligibility

Eligible productions for this award must be NT produced and have employed predominantly NT artists and creatives on stage and behind the stage.

The staged performance must have taken place between 1 October 2021 and 30 June 2023.

Individual nominees must be:

  • an Australian citizen or have permanent residence status
  • over 18 years of age
  • a current resident of the NT.

Individuals may be required to provide evidence of being a NT resident by providing a driver’s license, utilities bill, electoral roll registration or other similar documentation.

Organisations nominated must be:

  • not-for-profit
  • legally constituted
  • producers of, or primarily operate in support of the arts
  • registered in the NT as their main place of business.
